Lane End Conference Centre has used its new superfast broadband to stream a conference at up to 100Mb/second to delegates in 47 countries.
Client JATO Dynamics was able to present its 120-delegate event at Lane End to colleagues around the world.
Lane End recently upgraded its free broadband as part of a major refurbishment programme.
This new high speed internet access enables clients to carry out webcasting and video conferencing quickly, smoothly and easily.
Lane End is able to offer its clients much faster internet access than they are unlikely to find at hotels and other similar UK conference venues.
Its broadband connection is rated Grade A+, putting it in the top one per cent in the UK.
This enables business people from all over the world to video conference with Lane End - cutting travel costs, saving time and opening up events to online delegates who may not otherwise have been able to take part.
JATO Dynamics is the world’s leading provider of data intelligence to the automotive industry.
The company provides highly accurate, detailed and up-to-the minute data on vehicle specification, pricing and sales registrations, along with news and tools for vehicle configuration and comparison.
Around 120 delegates from the JATO’s head office in Harrow attended the one-day conference at Lane End Conference Centre in Buckinghamshire.
Eight speakers addressed JATO delegates at the popular conference venue. Their presentations were streamed live around the world and then later made available for viewing on video.
The event was organised by corporate events and team building specialist The MotivAction Group which is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
MotivAction Group Project Director Sarah Weston praised the speed and stability of Lane End’s robust broadband connection.
“Lane End Conference Centre has a really good internet connection. We got the videos online very quickly. It was really good to know that the broadband was fast and reliable,” she said.
JATO’s one-day event at Lane End featured a morning of business presentations in the morning followed by an afternoon of team building which included:
A rocket-building challenge
Air rifle Scrabble - in which competitors had to spell words by shooting at target letters
Hockey basketball - dribbling a ball up the field before scoring points by shooting for a basket.
Lane End Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie said: “Superfast broadband is vitally important in today’s conference market.
“Increasingly, we are hosting more and more events which combine webcasting and video conferencing with traditional meetings.
“We see this trend growing quickly in the immediate future and are determined to remain at the forefront,” he added.
